Academic Rules and Regulations

Victory Institute of Science, Technology and Management (VISTM) is committed to providing a disciplined, professional, and high-quality academic environment. The following Academic Rules and Regulations apply to all students enrolled at the Institute. Every student is expected to strictly adhere to these guidelines.

1. Attendance Policy

• Minimum Requirement: A minimum of 80% attendance in both theory and practical classes is mandatory to be eligible for final examinations.
• Leave of Absence: Students must submit a written application for any leave. In case of medical emergencies, a valid medical certificate must be provided.
• Punctuality: Students are expected to be inside the classroom/laboratory before the commencement of the session. Late entry may result in loss of attendance for that hour.

2. Code of Conduct & Discipline

• Uniform & Decorum: Students must adhere to the prescribed Institute Uniform on all working days. Professional grooming is expected at all times.
• Identity Cards: It is mandatory for every student to carry and display their valid Student ID Card while on campus.
• Campus Behavior: Use of mobile phones inside classrooms or laboratories is strictly prohibited unless authorized by the faculty for academic purposes.
• Prohibited Substances: The possession or consumption of tobacco, alcohol, or any banned substances is strictly forbidden and will lead to immediate expulsion.

3. Examination & Academic Integrity

• Honesty in Examinations: Any form of malpractice, including cheating, possession of unauthorized materials, or plagiarism, will be dealt with severely as per the Disciplinary Committee's guidelines.
• Internal Assessments: Timely submission of assignments, projects, and participation in internal tests is compulsory. These scores contribute significantly to the final grading.
• Fee Clearance: Students must clear all outstanding dues before the commencement of examinations to receive their Hall Tickets or Results.

4. Zero Tolerance Policies

• Anti-Ragging Policy: Ragging in any form is a criminal offense. VISTM maintains a Zero Tolerance Policy toward ragging. Offenders will face immediate suspension and legal action.
• Anti-Harassment Policy: Any form of physical or verbal harassment against fellow students or staff members will result in strict disciplinary action.
